Hidden Stripes - Zebra Print

“Hidden Stripes” illustrates the zebra’s incredible stripes which help camouflage them from predators. The wavy lines on the zebra blend in with the wavy lines of the tall grass around them! Their biggest predator, the lion, is colour blind, therefore, it doesn’t matter that the zebra’s stripes are not the same colour as the grass. It has also recently been discovered that the stripes act as a barrier to keep flying insects away.

This drawing was part of my acrylic paint pen collection and has been turned into a high quality giclee art print.
